The last four teams are relegated. The two top teams are promoted directly. The third team (E.g. Glimt) have to play a qualify match against the 3rd last team in Tippeligaen.

We still have chance to get the 2nd place. But we need a little bit luck. 5 matches left, first are played on sunday!

We can still make it! :skål

 good stuff

EDIT : We will end in third place, and we will probably meet IK Start in the qualification games. It will be two very very difficult games, and we will have to be on top of our game to gain promotion. But we WILL do it!

We got promoted :D

After at 1-0 win in Skien thursday, Odd had to score at least two goals. They did, in fact, do that. But since Glimt scored 3 goals they were to no use.

Glimt won 4-2 after two playoff games, got promoted and are now ready for Tippeligaen 2008

Oh Joy!

We have a coach and a team with him that get the best out of all the players. And we are definatilly underestimated by all the other teams. The players have fun, and they are playing like hell.

And it's hell of a lot more fun this year than the last four seasons. That's for sure.

Honestly I don't (yet) believe in a medal, but I am fairly certain that we won't be relegated, and that makes the whole thing just more fun.

Where to start....

First of all, we have bought a new old player, Håvard Sakkariasen. He was sold from us in the 2006 season.
He is a forwarder, and is familiar with our way of playing the game. So all in all, it could be a decent signing.

Second of all, We have played some matches, but at the time we are having a hard time getting the team co-work back at the level it was before the EC-champ. So steps are beeing made according to the coaches, and hopefully, at todays match against Lyn, we will back on track.
Since lsk mentioned in this thread, we have played the following:

8.6: Viking- Bodø/Glimt 2-0

29.6: Bodø/Glimt - Rosenborg 1-1

6.7: Brann- Bodø/Glimt 4-1

13.7: Bodø/Glimt - Molde 2-2

20.7: Lillestrøm - Bodø/Glimt 3-0

27.7: Bodø/Glimt - Lyn hopefully a victory.

Glimt: hell bent for leather.

That is a bit of a form drop isnt it? but I guess your early season success will help prevent relegation at the end of the season

The game against Lyn ended in a win, with Glimt coming back from 0-1 down to end the game at 2-1 through two late goals by Sørensen and PV. Rønning. I didn't see the game myself, but a lot of fans were (are) worried that the team isn't performing, and that although we gained three points, it was thoroughly undeserved.

There is also some newspaper-created controversy regarding whether a section of the supporters were heckling our own player (Sørensen, incidentally just before he struck the equalising free kick) or if they were just booing the opposition wall for not moving far enough away from the ball.

22 points won with 15 games away is promising, but this year's Tippeliga is unpredictable, to say the least. For instance, Molde played a draw against Glimt at Aspmyra, but then went on to hammer Vålerenga 5-1 at home, then slaughered reigining champions Brann 8-0 in the cup, but then went on to lose 4-0 to Strømsgodset. Glimt have a 30-point goal set, but less is probably needed to avoid relegation as there is only one direct relegation spot this season, and one qualifying spot. With HamKam steadily not performing and consistently losing, claiming only nine points so far, that spot is probably theirs to keep, and we may breathe easy. The qual spot is held by Aalesund at the moment with 13 points, and although they too beat reigning champions Brann, they are generally even less impressive than Glimt have been lately.
