Thank you Always nice to see new people here, and someone from Australia is a bit special. Any particualer reason for you being a Glimt fan? Besides that Glimt of course is a natural choice all over the worldmichzm wrote:As the only offical Australian on the member list I would like to say I'm one of Glimts biggest fans here....being the only one I know. Glimts biggest fan down under? I dunno about that. I could've sworn I've seen Alf Stewart running around Summer Bay with a Glimt-shirt on, beating up youngsters with a Vegard Sannes-poster.

Noone ever expects the nice TV-pet to be the culprit. But Skippy had to be put down after going on a baby-eating spree, I heard. Not to mention Flipper ...
Since you're down under, are there any news on Chad Gibson? Is he still playing?

New Zealand have their own team in the A-league? Usually I'm not a fan of constructed leagues like that, but there seems to be good reason to do it like that, as you say. I suppose the popularity would be increasing due to the world cup effort, but perhaps the steps that have been made have contributed to increasing the overall quality of the game in Australia? How would you rate the quality of the a-league games compared to other leages you have seen?

Here's something from another board, posted by a Sydney supporter;Glimt-fan wrote:FC Sydney! Dwight Yorke!
I had a nice old 5 second convo with Yorkie tonight
"hey Yorkie, how's things?"
"good mate"
"Look, I'm not going to fuck around, at times this season you played like a sack of shit. I mean that. We (the fans) hated you for the middle part of the season, because of these piss poor performances... frankly it looked like you couldn't give a toss, i wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.. but anyways... you've done well the last couple of weeks... have a good night."
